Successful fundraising concert brought together young Inuit musicians, seasoned northern professionals and the magnificent National Arts Centre Orchestra. Our own Jerry Laisa (Qaggiavuut youth coordinator) was on the front cover of the Ottawa Citizen, catching everyone's throats with his beautiful Inuktitut songwriting. Our Laakkuluk Williamson Bathory, Vinnie Karetak, Sylvia Cloutier, Mary Piercey, Rhoda Innuksuk, the Inuksuk Drummers, Colleen Nakashuk all made this night a promise of the many shows to come when we build our Qaggiq!
